Our Factory in France

AT THE HEART OF THE GESTURE

Nestled in Saint-Médard-d'Excideuil, in the Dordogne region, our factory is the beating heart of the company. Since the early 1960s, it is here that Repetto has crafted its shoes and ballet flats, in this same workshop that has remained a constant throughout our journey. More than sixty years of history, precision, and repeated gestures, all carried out with unwavering dedication.

From the very beginning, the choice to produce in France was a natural one. Staying close to our artisans, preserving the mastery of our techniques, and protecting a know-how passed down through generations: this has always been our conviction. The turned-stitched seam, the house's signature, demands absolute precision, a slow, deliberate gesture, impossible to mechanize. It speaks to the power of human labor, of the attentive eye, of the expert hand.

Over the decades, our workshop has become a true center of excellence. It brings together cutters, stitchers, assemblers, and finishers, some of whom have been with the company for their entire lives. This rare continuity allows us to pass on our skills consistently and maintain the same high standards.

Even today, the majority of our ballet flats and shoes are made in this French workshop. We regularly welcome visitors, schools, and enthusiasts to reveal the inner workings of our manufacturing process and show how our methods are constantly being improved without ever betraying the heritage upon which we are founded.

More than just a production site, this factory is a living chapter in our history. It embodies our identity, our values, and the commitment of a company that, for over sixty years, has cultivated in France a precise, patient, and deeply rooted expertise in its territory.
