1947
Guided by her passion for dance and inspired by her son, Roland Petit, Rose Repetto creates her first ballet shoes in a Paris workshop, just a stone’s throw from the Opéra.

1952
Madame Repetto’s first advertising campaign marks the beginning of a unique adventure.

1956
The “Cendrillon” ballet flats are born, dedicated to Brigitte Bardot — the timeless muse who immortalizes the design in And God Created Woman.

1959
Opening of the first Repetto boutique at 22 Rue de la Paix, soon to become an iconic destination for the greatest stars of ballet.

1964
The Repetto logo is stylized by the artist Léonor Fini, creating an emblematic graphic signature.

1967
The workshop is established in Saint‑Médard‑d’Excideuil, the cradle of the unique “stitch‑and‑return” technique that remains at the heart of production to this day.

The workshop celebrates its millionth pair of ballet flats. The beginning of a collaboration with the Compiègne University of Technology to design an innovative ballet shoe.

Launch of Atelier Repetto, an exceptional service allowing every woman to personalize her ballet flats from 252 shades, combining craftsmanship and bespoke elegance.

Opening of the training school in Coulaures, to pass on the unique “stitch-and-return” technique to new generations.

Collaboration with Jacquemus — Repetto teams up with designer Simon Porte Jacquemus to reinterpret the iconic Zizi model, presented during the “Les Sculptures” runway show in January.
